“New technologies;
increasing gas competitiveness!”

In our June 2006 newsletter,we announced the IGRC 2008 conference, which will be held in Paris on October 8-10, 2008.We are now pleased to present to you an interesting programme, including many issues of importance to the Gas Business.

> How can Research & Development serve short, medium, and longterm corporate strategy?
> How does R&D improve company performance in the short term?
> How much R&D insure long term viability?
> How does R&D increase shareholder value?
> What is required to bring closer together R&D and business needs?
It is our intention to present a programme that will interest business as well as research-oriented colleagues, aiming to start a dialogue on any questions the gas business may have and the answers research may offer.
Three workshops will be organized on different considerations of prime importance related to implementation of R&D strategies. In the opening and closing session, keynote speakers from the gas industry will address issues of which the importance is paramount for the industry. The poster sessions will form the core of the conference, offering the opportunit to exchange thoughts and ideas. A call for papers will be issued shortly on the IGRC website www.igrc2008.com.

The oral sessions of the conference will be subdivided into the following categories:

> How a changing gas market can benefit from R&D
