> Musée d'Orsay The Musée d'Orsay presents the arts and artistic creativity of the period from 1848 to 1914 through its collections of paintings, sculpture, the decorative arts, sculpture and photography.
> National Galeries of the Grand Palais The Grand Palais houses one of the most important place in the world for exhibitions. It also houses the Palais de la découverte and the Nave of the Grand Palais.
> Musée des Arts Premiers This museum is dedicated to arts and civilisations. It houses collections from the Musée national des arts d'Afrique et d'Océanie and from the Ethnological Laboratory of the Musée de l'Homme. This new museum, built according to plans by Jean Nouvel in a huge public garden designed by Gilles Clément, develops the scientific missions of the two existing museums, by offering visitors a wide range of activities.

> Musée Rodin Works and collections by French sculptor Auguste Rodin exhibited in a private mansion of the 18th century.
> L'Arc de Triomphe This is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. It was commissioned in 1806 after the victory at Austerlitz by Emperor Napoleon I at the peak of his fortunes. It stands in the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle at the western end of the Champs-Élysées.
> Museum d'Histoire Naturelle Collection of ethnology, anthropology and prehistory. From 3.5 million years B.C to the present day : synthesis of the sciences of man and of his evolution.
> National Museum of the Middle Ages This museum combines two edifices: the ruins of the Gallo-Roman baths and the Hôtel of the Abbots of Cluny to house a remarkable art collection assembled by Alexandre du Sommerard.
> The Eiffel Tower The most well-known monument in Europe is a an iron tower built on the Champ de Mars beside the River Seine by Gustave Eiffel between 1887 and 1889 for the Exposition Universelle. The structure is 324 m high, it weighs 7300 tons. There are 1660 steps.
> Notre Dame de Paris It was one of the first Gothic cathedrals, and its construction spanned the Gothic period. Its sculptures and stained glass show the heavy influence of naturalism, giving them a more secular look that was lacking from earlier Romanesque architecture.
> The Montparnasse Tower This tower is a 210 metres tall office skyscraper located in the area of Montparnasse. Constructed from 1969 to 1972, it is the tallest skyscraper in France. This is one of the most beautiful view of Paris. |
